Job Title: Salaried GP – Primary Care

Location: Northampton
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive – to be discussed

Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Salaried GP to join an established primary care team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality patient-centred care while contributing to clinical governance, practice development, audit, education, and service improvement.

Key Requirements

  • Eligible to practise independently as a GP in the UK
  • Full GMC Registration with GP Registration
  • Entry onto the Medical Performers List
  • MRCGP
  • Experience working within UK Primary Care within the last 3 years
  • Good understanding of the GMS Contract, particularly QOF
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled clinical team
  • Strong clinical judgement, initiative, and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience contributing to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement
  • Ability to undertake consultations across a range of clinical settings
  • Willingness to participate in duty rotas, patient visits, and cover arrangements as required
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Membership of a recognised medical indemnity organisation
  • Flexibility to work the required sessions

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary healthcare services across appropriate clinical settings
  • Undertake routine, urgent, and same-day consultations
  • Manage patient queries, prescriptions, referrals, and clinical correspondence
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and coding
  • Contribute to QOF, clinical governance, audits, and service improvement
  • Participate in vaccination and immunisation programmes
  • Provide appropriate clinical supervision and support to colleagues and learners
  • Participate in clinical and staff meetings, CPD, training, and research activities
  • Undertake patient visits and participate in the duty rota
