Salaried GP | Croydon, South London
Background
This is a genuinely independent, patient-centred practice that has chosen to stay small enough to do things properly. The partnership has deliberately avoided the super-partnership model, and what that means in practice is a working environment built around clinical relationships, not throughput targets. Salaried GPs here are given project ownership within the practice, with the opportunity to develop areas of special interest and share in the income those projects generate. If you are looking for a role where you are treated as a valued clinician rather than a session-filler, this is worth reading.
Location
The practice is based in Croydon, South London, approximately 10 minutes from central London and well connected by public transport. Croydon offers straightforward commuting links from across South London and beyond, with easy access from areas including Bromley (around 15 minutes), Sutton (around 15 minutes) and Wimbledon (around 20 minutes).
The Practice
- GP Training Practice, with both Partners acting as trainers across medical students, FY2 and ST doctors, as well as international medical graduates retraining in the UK
- Mid-sized practice with a strong partnership team and large salaried GP team
- Exceptionally well-resourced multidisciplinary team, including two ANPs, two clinical pharmacists (one working towards independent prescribing), two care coordinators, two GP assistants and three nurses
- Clinical pharmacists manage the majority of prescription and document workflow, keeping GP admin to a manageable level with allocated admin time built into every session
- Salaried GPs are given ownership of practice development projects in their areas of interest, with a share of any income generated
- Forward-thinking, innovative culture with a young partnership team; digital tools including automated recall systems already in place
- Single-site practice with free parking in the surrounding residential streets
- SystmOne
- Rated Good by the CQC

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
