Salaried GP | Central Cambridgeshire
Background
This is general practice done together. Rather than working alone behind a closed door, the GPs share a common workspace whenever they are not consulting, so advice, a second opinion or a helping hand is always moments away. If you enjoy clinically varied medicine and want a team that will back you and develop you, this is a rare opportunity.
Location
The practice is based in a market town in central Cambridgeshire with excellent A1 and A14 road links. Cambridge and Peterborough are each around 30 minutes away by car, with Bedford around 40 minutes.
The Practice
- GP Training Practice hosting GP registrars, F2 doctors and medical students
- Rated Outstanding by CQC
- Distinctive shared working model: GPs work alongside each other in a shared office when not consulting, giving instant peer support
- Mid-sized practice with a strong partnership team and a large salaried GP team
- Research practice, welcoming GPs with an interest in research
- Excellent staff retention and a sociable culture, with an events team organising activities through the year
- Young, diverse patient population with high mental health and safeguarding need, ideal for a GP who enjoys being stretched clinically

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
