We have now re-opened the GP Salaried application window.

Hall Grove Group Practice is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salaried GP to join our team of 9 Partners. We use a fully Partnered model and are looking to expand and recruit another 4 session Salaried GPs to join our team. We are based over two sites (Hall Grove & Parkway Surgeries). We are an approved training practice and a member of the Welwyn Allied PCN. Via our PCN we employ a team of Pharmacists, in-house MSK Physiotherapists, Mental Health Nurse, Social Prescribers, GP Assistant and Care Co-ordinators who work alongside the rest of the practice team. The Partnership prides itself on its mutually supportive nature and the excellence of the patient care that it offers the community of 16,000 patients that it serves.

As a Salaried GP, you will be responsible for providing primary care services to a diverse patient population and become involved in contributing to care for patients in the acute and chronic settings. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing high-quality patient care and who is enthusiastic about working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve this goal. Our focus will be increasing our on the day capacity to fulfil our practice contractual requirements. We are a busy practice and provide a strong teamwork ethos, and the successful candidates will receive support from all the Partners. As a practice we believe in continuity of care for our patients though the named GP approach.

Outline

  • A mix of 15-minute/10-minute face to face appointments and 10-minute telephone consultations;
  • Consultation Times: 3 Hours AM and PM with allocated time of 1 hour 10 minutes for both sessions;
  • We have a Duty Team made up of 2 GP Partners, Registrars and Foundation Year 2 Doctors daily. 08:00-18:30;
  • We have a Hub GP every morning to deal with home visits and triage incoming eConsults;
  • We have use of the Acute In-house Visiting Service;
  • Use of hospital @ home service;
  • Enhanced Access appointments provided by the GP Federation;
  • Yearly away afternoons – for team building and practice development;
  • Summer and Winter Practice Socials with all practice staff;
  • Fixed term contract with onward extension outlined in contract.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality general medical services to patients within the practice, including diagnosis, treatment, and referral where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records including appropriate follow up and safety-netting.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the practice team to deliver effective and efficient patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of the practice’s clinical strategic plans improving current workflows.
  • Contribute to the on-call duties when the need arises and manage self-generated admin (pathology, tasks and docman).

Requirements

  • Qualified GP with MRCGP or equivalent. We will accept interest from those nearing CCT (with AKT/SCA completed).
  • Active registration with the GMC and appropriate medical defence organisation membership.
  • Demonstrable experience in providing high-quality primary care services within a general practice setting.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and pursuit of further qualifications or specialisations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Special interests are welcomed.
  • Full UK Driving License.
