Background

Location
The practice is based near Wantage, in a quiet, settled part of Oxfordshire that draws staff from a wide catchment area. Abingdon and Faringdon are both around 20 minutes away by car, Didcot is approximately 25 minutes, and Oxford is roughly 35 minutes, making this an accessible base whether you are relocating or commuting from a neighbouring town.
The Practice
- GP Training Practice, with a growing base of trainers and a strong reputation among trainees
- Large, well-established multidisciplinary team including pharmacists, an ANP and a paramedic
- Comparatively light workload of around 12 to 14 patient contacts per session, including GP-book-only slots
- Extensive administrative support, including a dedicated weekly admin hour for every salaried GP
- Modern, purpose-built premises with ongoing expansion of clinical space
- Large partnership team and a salaried GP team, with excellent staff retention
- CQC rated Good

Your Role
- 5 to 8 sessions available, with genuine flexibility on sessions and days for the right candidate
- Pooled list, a total triage model mixing face-to-face and telephone appointments, with 15-minute appointment slots
- Very low requirement for home visits
- Partnership pathway available for those who wish to progress
Requirements
The practice welcomes experienced GPs who can hit the ground running, as well as strong newly-qualified GPs with a demonstrably good training record, particularly higher patient numbers seen during training and clear evidence of development.
Salary And Benefits
- Sessional rate of £11,500 to £12,500 per session, with a review at 6 months in line with experience and how you settle into the role

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
