About the Role
We are a small practice service with approximately 5,200 patients located in the Airedale, Castleford area.
Our clinical team includes:
- 5 GPS
- An in-house Clinical Pharmacist
- An experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner
- A lead Nurse
- Two experienced Practice Nurses
- One Nurse Associate
- Health Care Support Assistants
The nursing team is highly qualified and provides general and specialist nursing services. We are supported by a friendly and efficient administrative and management team.
We are part of a forward-thinking and well-functioning Primary Care Network, Wakefield North PCN, which provides:
- A great visiting service
- An Enhanced Care Team
- Excellent access to Sonographers, Mental Health Practitioners, and Pharmacists
Our organization has a full infrastructure of support for the practice, including finance, people and culture, nursing and quality, digital, IT, and performance.
Responsibilities
The role will work as part of a wider clinical team responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care while complying with the contract requirements and working closely with the PCN. The postholders will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, working with the organization’s Medical Director, and maintaining a positive collaborative working relationship with fellow GPs and the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements
We expect our salaried GPs to be an integral part of our practice, leading by example with high-quality practice and being business-minded with a deep commitment to our practice ethos.
- You will be a GP with full GMC Registration with a license to practice and entry on the GP Register.
- You will be included on a Medical Performers List (or eligible).
- We are looking for excellent patient-centered clinicians with a proven ability to handle a busy and varied primary care caseload and respond flexibly to workload fluctuations.
