Role Description
The Salaried GP will provide safe, evidence-based primary care services, including consultations, diagnosis, and management of acute and long-term conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Conducting face-to-face appointments
- Telephone and online consultations
- Reviewing test results
- Prescribing
- Maintaining accurate clinical records

The GP will contribute to long-term condition management, medication reviews, preventative care, and health promotion, while working closely with nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative colleagues. Participation in clinical meetings, multidisciplinary discussions, and practice quality improvement activities is expected, along with appropriate supervision and support for trainees when required.

This is a part-time, on-site role based in Chepstow, requiring regular presence at the practice during agreed sessions.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified GP with MRCGP or equivalent, and inclusion on the GMC register with a licence to practise.
- Eligibility for inclusion on the local performers list and right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with experience in managing acute and chronic conditions in primary care.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, shared decision-making, and safeguarding of children and adults.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Competence in using electronic medical record systems and basic digital tools for clinical documentation and prescribing.
- Organisational and time-management skills to manage workload, follow-up actions, and clinical responsibilities within part-time sessions.
- Engagement with continuing professional development, clinical governance, and adherence to current clinical guidelines.
- Experience in UK general practice or comparable setting is highly beneficial; familiarity with local health systems is an advantage.
