Salaried GP | Near Witney, Oxfordshire
Background
This is a rare opportunity to join a practice mid-transformation, working directly alongside the incoming Partner, a co-founder of one of the UK’s largest GP group practices, as they lead a full operational and clinical turnaround. For a Salaried GP wanting to fast-track their exposure to advanced leadership, systems and complex decision-making, few roles offer this level of hands-on development in such a short space of time.
Location
The practice is based in a rural part of Oxfordshire, within a realistic commute of Witney (around 10 minutes by car), Swindon (around 30 minutes) and Oxford (around 35 minutes), making it accessible from a wide catchment of surrounding towns. The area is generally affluent and stable, serving a mix of younger families and an older population.
The Practice
- Training practice with scope to build teaching and research further
- Modern, purpose-built health centre with significant room for future growth
- Mid-sized patient list, with a broad multidisciplinary team including on-site district nursing
- Strong partnership team, currently going through a significant, well-resourced operational turnaround
- CQC rated Good

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
