Position Overview
HVP is looking to add another team member to the our sale barn crew. Schedule will be every Monday from roughly 8am till the sale concludes (avg 14-16hrs on Mondays), and the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the week of the first Thursday each calendar month for the cow sale. Cow sale Thursdays avg 16-18hrs.

Key Responsibilities
- Bringing cattle from their pens to the processing chute
- Loading cattle into the processing alley
- Returning cattle to pens
- Sorting cattle for processing and loading
The applicant will need to develop a thorough knowledge of the pen layout and understand cattle movement before and during the auction, so as not to interfere with cattle movement in the barn.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude
- Integrates and works well in a team
- Quiet/calm livestock handling
- Able to stand for long periods and withstand heat and cold
- Available for all regular and cow sale days
- Must have hands-on cattle experience
Compensation
Hourly at $20.00/hr, overtime commences at the 8 hour mark for a given shift. Bi-annual profit-sharing program, clothing allowance. This is a part time position and does not qualify for insurance benefits or PTO.
