Sales Account Director

Manchester

The Company

Our client is an established technology business operating within the digital advertising ecosystem, working with leading agencies and advertisers to help them better understand and improve the effectiveness of their media investment.

As part of its continued UK growth, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Account Director to develop its agency relationships across Manchester and the wider Northern market.

The Opportunity

This is a commercially focused role for someone with strong relationships across the major agency holding groups and a proven track record of generating revenue within the digital advertising market.

You will take ownership of key agency relationships, identifying opportunities across different teams, clients and disciplines while building greater awareness and adoption of the company's technology.

The role requires someone who can combine strong existing relationships with a genuine appetite for business development. You will be expected to open new conversations, identify opportunities and build strategic relationships that translate into sustainable revenue growth.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and grow relationships across the major agency holding groups in Manchester.
  • Build senior relationships across planning, strategy, investment, programmatic and digital teams.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities across existing and prospective agency partners.
  • Develop relationships across multiple teams and client accounts within each agency group.
  • Own the sales process from initial engagement and brief through to pitch, negotiation and close.
  • Build compelling, agency-specific propositions and use cases.
  • Work closely with agencies to understand their clients' challenges and identify where the company's technology can add value.
  • Develop initial opportunities into broader, long-term commercial partnerships.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and deliver against agreed revenue targets.
  • Work closely with internal commercial, product and technical teams to support client requirements and drive adoption.
  • Represent the business at agency meetings, industry events and relevant networking opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
