Autel is a global technology innovator in automotive diagnostics, intelligent mobility, and energy solutions. Autel Energy provides AC and DC charging products and integrated solutions for a wide range of commercial, fleet, residential, and public charging scenarios. We are looking for a Sales & Account Director – UK to lead business development, build strategic customer relationships, and drive the growth of Autel Energy’s charging solutions across the Italian market.

Role Purpose

Autel UK is seeking an experienced and commercially driven AR - Smart Energy to accelerate the growth of our EV charging and smart energy business across the UK and Ireland.

The AR will take commercial ownership of strategic customers and new business development within the assigned market. The role is responsible for identifying and developing opportunities, acquiring key customers, negotiating commercial agreements, and building long-term partnerships that deliver sustainable revenue and profitability.

Working closely with Product Management, Technical Sales, Project Management, and Service teams, the AR will lead the customer relationship throughout the sales cycle - from market development and opportunity qualification through commercial negotiation and contract award.

This role is suited to an entrepreneurial B2B sales professional with experience in EV charging, energy, electrical infrastructure, or other complex infrastructure and capital-equipment markets.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Growth

  • Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities across the UK and Ireland.

  • Develop relationships with CPOs, utilities, energy companies, fleet operators, EPCs, OEMs, distributors, and infrastructure investors.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers and influencers within target organisations.
  • Build and maintain a healthy, qualified sales pipeline capable of delivering regional revenue and growth targets.
  • Develop new strategic accounts while expanding Autel's presence within existing customers.

Strategic Account Management

  • Take commercial ownership of assigned strategic accounts and act as the primary commercial point of contact.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and key decision-makers, including C-level executives where appropriate.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customers' business models, investment priorities, procurement strategies, and operational requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships from individual transactions into longer-term strategic partnerships.
  • Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, framework agreements, and contracts.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction while maximising long-term account value.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
