We are looking for someone who is confident speaking with customers, commercially minded, and motivated by measurable results, while maintaining PDC's high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop an established portfolio of plumbing and builders' merchant customers.
- Achieve agreed sales, revenue, and account growth targets.
- Handle inbound sales enquiries by telephone, email, WhatsApp, and customer portal.
- Proactively contact existing, dormant, and prospective customers to generate new business.
- Build relationships with key customer decision-makers.
- Identify upselling, cross-selling, and product promotion opportunities.
- Prepare quotations and follow up opportunities to maximize conversion.
- Manage the sales process from enquiry through to order completion.
- Identify and secure new merchant accounts across the UK.
- Reactivate dormant and develop underperforming customer accounts.
- Maintain regular customer contact through a structured monthly call programme.
- Follow up all quotations within 48 hours.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
- Monitor account performance, opportunities, and pipeline development.
- Work with internal departments to resolve customer, stock, delivery, and service issues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
