Sales Account Executive
GIG Retail (a Smollan Company)
Full time, Permanent
Salary: £23,500 - £25,000 per annum + up to 25% bonus opportunity paid quarterly
Working: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Location: Hybrid - 3 days from home and 2 days in our Leeds Head Office!

The role:
We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our high-performing team. You will create impactful campaigns across various media channels to help our clients achieve their business objectives. Committed to providing personalised service, strategic thinking, and creative solutions that drive measurable success. In this target-driven role, you will deliver revenue growth by seeking new media opportunities via a consultative and relationship-based sales and service approach to a selection of FMCG brands. You will need to balance time servicing, planning and liaising whilst driving a proactive sales effort.
The ideal candidate will be used to working in a fast-paced environment, making accurate client recommendations, adapting to changing priorities, achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals as well as providing support across the rest of the team when demanding workloads require additional help.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Support & Relationship Building: To support the Account Manager as a primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive and proactive support to address their needs and concerns. You will also support other members of the sales team where appropriate, with planning, Media Metrics and administration support.
- Media Campaign Building: Build and present back both best in class and bespoke media campaigns which deliver against supplier and client objectives.
- Timeline Management: Manage project timelines and deadlines, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including media proposition, operations & creative to deliver integrated solutions that meet client objectives.
- Accuracy and Forecasting: Ensure you are maintaining accurate and up-to-date pipeline in systems, ensuring processes are always adhered to. Work closely with senior members of the team, providing accurate updates for internal meetings and forecasting purposes.
- Campaign Reporting: Understand fully post campaign analysis reports in order to plan for future activations.

The Ideal Account Executive will have:
- Ability to work and manage in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in project management and the ability to adapt to fast-moving programmes
- Technical aptitude and ability to converse clearly with internal and external clients
