Sales Account Executive, Germany & Austria (Remote)
A leading international provider of digital science education resources is looking for a driven Sales Account Executive to support growth across Germany and Austria. With customers in over 60 countries, this innovative organisation helps universities, researchers and students access cutting-edge digital learning solutions.
This is a remote role that can be based in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, or Spain, with regular travel (approximately 5 days per month) across Germany and Austria.
The Role
Reporting into the sales team, you'll be responsible for generating new business opportunities and growing revenue across the German and Austrian markets. We're looking for someone who has experience owning the full sales cycle, from generating and qualifying opportunities through to product demonstrations, negotiations, and closing business. You'll engage with universities, research institutions, and academic libraries, building relationships, delivering product demonstrations, and converting opportunities into sales.

Key responsibilities include:
- Building and developing your own pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting
- Identifying, qualifying, and progressing new business opportunities
- Delivering virtual and face-to-face product demonstrations
- Managing opportunities through the full sales cycle, from first contact through to close
- Building long-term relationships with academic stakeholders
- Attending conferences and industry events across the region
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and activity reporting
About You
We're looking for a highly motivated sales professional with a strong outbound mindset and a passion for winning new business.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in a sales, business development, or account management role with responsibility for the full sales cycle
- Proven success generating opportunities through proactive prospecting and outbound activity
- Experience conducting client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
- A track record of progressing opportunities through to negotiation and close
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- EdTech, SaaS, Higher Education, Academic, or STEM publishing experience would be highly beneficial

We are open to candidates based in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, or Spain. What's most important is that you have experience owning the sales process end-to-end and are comfortable building and converting your own pipeline.
German language skills are advantageous; they are required for candidates based in Spain.
