About the Role
The Sales Account Executive will assist with the growth efforts in the South of England specifically around our valve and actuator products and services. They will identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives.
Due to the requirements of the role, the successful candidate will need to be located in Southern England.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in South England within industries such as oil & gas, chemical, energy, power and utilities.
- Client Acquisition: Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers, procurement teams, and technical personnel at key client organisations. Conduct client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Customer Care: Drive customer satisfaction and long-term retention by working with service delivery teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
- Key Performance Indicators: Deliver against agreed KPIs including revenue growth, pipeline health, customer satisfaction, and market share expansion.
- Technical Knowledge: Understand client needs and provide tailored valve and actuator solutions, collaborating with technical teams to develop proposals and service packages. Deliver technical presentations and assist in troubleshooting customer issues.
- Travel Requirements: Flexibility to travel within the UK and other countries required to meet clients, attend industry events, and support business growth initiatives.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic planning and improve offerings. Identify emerging technologies and recommend new service opportunities.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prospects, and pipeline progress using CRM tools. Ensure a healthy pipeline to meet long-term growth objectives.

Qualifications & Experience
- Track record of identifying and delivering new business projects/opportunities.
- Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or business development role.
- Previous experience in valves and valve market is preferable.
- Experience in contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and market analysis.
