About The Role
A Sales Account Handler is required for a permanent, full-time position with a family-owned manufacturer in Kilmarnock. Working Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 17:00 (36 hours weekly), this role involves managing customer accounts, processing orders, and providing administrative support within a specialist seating production environment. The company manufactures commercial vehicle seating and bespoke mounting systems. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a sales or account administration role, strong organisational skills, and the ability to handle enquiries professionally. 36 hrs Monday to Thursday 07.30am - 5pm
The Company
They are a family owned and operated business based in Ayrshire, Scotland with in-house skills ranging from metal fabrication, joinery, upholstery, spray painting/coating to composite manufacture facilitating both small and large orders to customers’ specific requirements. The company manufacture approximately 12,000 commercial vehicle seats per year, as well as numerous customised specialist seating and mounting systems.
The Role
The company is looking to recruit a Sales Account Handler/Administrator. They are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and professional candidate to support their office-based team. Candidate must have their own transport.
Key Duties Include
- Sales order processing and sales quotes
- Processing of sales invoices
- Support the sales team by contacting customers with order status updates, requesting payments etc
- Maintain accurate records and ensure appropriate documentation in place
- Completion and filing of export documentation
- General Filing
- Liaising with a variety of departments
- Telephone/Reception duties

Candidate Requirements
- Account Handler/Sales admin support experience would be beneficial
- IT literate with knowledge of Word and Excel
- XERO experience beneficial
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional telephone manner
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Passionate about their duties
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
