c. £50,000 + bonus & benefits
This is an opportunity for an ambitious technical sales professional looking to take the next step in their career, with the chance to develop relationships with major national customers.
Our client is an established design and manufacturing business, supplying specialist HVAC-R and gas detection sensors, controls and systems to some of the UK's best-known retail and commercial organisations.
With a strong existing customer base, continued investment and ambitious growth plans, they are looking for a Sales Account Manager to develop existing customer relationships, identify new commercial opportunities and help drive continued growth.
The opportunity:
- Work with a portfolio of established customers, building relationships, understanding their requirements and identifying opportunities to increase the value of those relationships.
- Developing existing customer relationships and increasing spend.
- Identifying opportunities across additional sites and locations.
- Introducing customers to additional HVAC-R and gas detection solutions.
- Developing relationships with new stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Identifying new projects and commercial opportunities.
- Supporting the development of strategic national accounts.
- Winning new customers and new business where appropriate.

You'll work closely with experienced technical and engineering teams, giving you access to the expertise required to understand customer requirements and develop the right solution.
This isn't simply a role where you'll manage existing accounts and wait for orders to arrive. You'll be encouraged to find opportunities, develop relationships and actively grow your customers.
The person:
We're looking for a commercially minded sales professional who is ready to step up and develop their career.
You may currently be working as a Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Account Manager, Sales Executive or similar and be looking for an opportunity to take greater ownership of customers and revenue.
Experience within HVAC-R, refrigeration, controls, sensors, gas detection, building technology, electrical products, automation, engineering or another technical B2B environment would be particularly relevant.
You'll ideally bring:
- A track record of developing customer relationships and generating revenue.
- Experience selling technical products, systems or solutions.
- The ability to understand customer requirements and identify commercial opportunities.
- Confidence engaging with a range of stakeholders and building long-term relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- A proactive approach to developing existing business and identifying new opportunities.
