Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a leading Energy Supplier to recruit for an Account Manager for a small but growing team.
You will be managing a portfolio of accounts, building relationships with your customers to increase inbound referrals and tenders, expand on existing opportunities and grow new business accounts.
This is a proactive, sales-based approach to the Account Manager role, the ideal candidate will be confident meeting customers face to face, networking and building relationships.
You will be working for a forward-thinking business within the Energy sector, who have a flexible, hybrid working pattern and an extensive benefits package.
The successful candidate will have a background and understanding of the Energy market, and be able to travel into Birmingham City Centre 2 days per week.
Responsibilities & day to day duties
As an Account Manager you will be responsible for:
- Manage a portfolio of active accounts to drive revenue growth
- Liaise with customers on the phone, virtually and face to face meetings
- Managing the end-to-end sales process of new business opportunities and renewals, liaising closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ask relevant questions using a consultative approach, understanding the end user requirements to position tenders effectively.
- Maintain a proactive approach in managing your accounts, delivering excellent levels of customer service
- Exceed all KPI’s, including annual revenue target and monthly KPI’s

Skills & experience required
- Experience in an Account Manager role within the Energy Sector.
- Experience dealing with complex deals and tender processes.
- Excellent process management and organisation skills
- Excellent customer service skills, great communication and ability to manage processes between different teams.
- Flexible approach to work with a growth mindset
- Proactive and energetic approach to work, with an ability to work well under pressure.
