Technical products & solutions | Multiple opportunities - Retail / Industrial channels | National accounts

Hybrid working (Head-office in Surrey)
c. £60,000 + bonus, car allowance & benefits

Manage key accounts. Develop new opportunities. Sell specialist technical solutions.

An established and growing specialist manufacturer is looking to appoint several Sales Account Managers to strengthen its UK commercial team.

These are key customer-facing positions, responsible for managing and developing established accounts while identifying opportunities to increase revenue and develop new business.

There are multiple positions available, with opportunities focused on either retail or industrial customers.

You'll be selling specialist technical products and solutions into established markets, working closely with customers to understand their requirements, identify opportunities and provide the right solution.

The role:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of UK customer accounts
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Develop new business opportunities within your market
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions
  • Prepare and manage quotations, proposals and commercial negotiations
  • Work closely with internal technical, engineering and commercial teams to develop opportunities
  • Take ownership of the sales process from initial enquiry through to order
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and account information

The person:

We're looking for a commercially minded technical sales professional who is comfortable selling products where understanding the application and customer requirement is important.

Your background could include sales of:

  • Technical or engineered products
  • Sensors, instrumentation or measurement equipment
  • Controls, automation or BMS solutions
  • Electrical or electronic products
  • Industrial equipment or components
  • Safety, detection or monitoring systems
  • Building or M&E products
  • Specialist manufactured products
  • Other technical products or solutions

You'll ideally have:

  • A track record of managing and growing customer accounts
  • Experience identifying and converting new sales opportunities
  • The confidence to discuss technical products with customers and translate requirements into solutions
  • A consultative, solutions-focused approach to sales with strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
