About us
Meridianis Global is a wholesale and cash & carry warehouse based in Rochdale, supplying everyday essentials across groceries, beverages, household, personal care, DIY and more. Our customers include independent retailers, resellers, hospitality businesses and everyday buyers, served through our warehouse, online store and UK-wide delivery. As our trade customer base grows, we're looking for a Sales Account Manager to take ownership of it.
The role
You'll manage and grow our portfolio of trade accounts, build strong long-term relationships with business customers, and find new sales opportunities. You'll own the trade channel's sales targets and report directly to the Director.
What you'll do
- Manage a portfolio of trade accounts as the main commercial contact, driving repeat orders and higher order values.
- Win new trade customers such as convenience stores, independent retailers, resellers and cafés, and convert enquiries into approved trade accounts.
- Negotiate volume pricing and commercial terms for larger orders within agreed margins.
- Own and report on monthly and quarterly sales targets, forecasts and growth plans.
- Keep customers satisfied by handling feedback, service issues and escalations.
- Spot market trends and competitor activity, and recommend new lines, seasonal ranges and promotions.
- Work with warehouse and logistics staff to make sure key customers get what they need, on time.
- Keep accurate CRM records of accounts, pipeline, pricing and sales activity.

What we're looking for

- Experience in sales account management, sales supervision or B2B sales, ideally in wholesale, FMCG or retail.
- A proven track record of building customer relationships and hitting targets.
- Confident negotiation and commercial skills.
- Comfortable with CRM systems, spreadsheets and sales reporting.
- Organised and self-motivated, able to manage your own portfolio.
What we offer
- £55,200 per year.
