Sales Account Manager

Leeds (Office-based) | Up to £45,000 basic (dependent on experience) + annual profit share (circa £52K OTE)

This is a role within a buoyant, growing and recession-resilient firm, a market leader in its niche. You'll inherit a mature, warm client base while also driving new business acquisition, making this a genuine hybrid of account management and hunting.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced sales professional who isn't afraid to pick up the phone and drive new business. While the role is roughly 80% account management, inheriting a well-maintained client portfolio and its existing revenue stream, we need someone with a new-business mentality: driven, ambitious, and focused on net-new client acquisition alongside managing existing relationships.

The business is a leading provider of niche products into the public and private sectors, currently entering a period of rapid commercial growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For

Industry experience isn't required, as that can be trained. Sales and commercial drive cannot. We're looking for one of the following profiles:

  • The proven Account Executive: an established sales professional with a track record of exceeding revenue targets across the full sales cycle, looking for a role offering greater upside and a disruptive market offering.
  • The high-performing SDR or BDR: a top-tier business development rep currently at the top of their team's leaderboard, ready to move into full sales-cycle ownership, from outbound prospecting through to close.

We are looking for candidates who are unapologetically motivated by winning and consistently hold themselves to high commercial benchmarks.

Sales professionals who do not wait for warm inbound leads but actively pick up the phone and create their own commercial pipeline.

The company's top performers typically align with a Di or iD profile under DiSC frameworks, or ENTP / ENTJ under MBTI metrics. If this doesn’t mean anything to you then Google ‘16pf’ or ‘DISC personality types’ it to ensure that you meet the traits required.

What's on Offer

  • Basic salary up to £45,000, dependent on background and relevant commercial track record
  • Highly lucrative profit share (circa £52K OTE)
  • The opportunity to represent a genuinely disruptive solution in high market demand
  • Clear career progression as the wider team expands
