Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • To generate the sales of new electric buses.
  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the main point of customer contact.
  • Identify new sales prospects in your area.
  • Develop and implement action plans to penetrate new clients.
  • Grow relationships with existing customers and key external stakeholders.
  • Organise and deliver presentations to new prospects, introducing Company, Product, Commercial, Technology, After Sales & Parts; coordinating the attendance of relevant internal colleagues.
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for your area that aligns with the national sales and profitability targets.
  • Seek out new market opportunities.
  • Oversee the collation of customer requirements and product specifications, working with various internal teams to deliver required outcomes.
  • Maintain contact with our Project Management team to monitor progress of sold vehicles, ensuring customer requirements and delivery milestones are met.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events.
  • Feedback market intelligence to Management.
  • Preparation of monthly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate customer and fleet information.
  • Prepare monthly business reports for Management and present at Sales meetings.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Other related activities and contingent assignments.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 2 years Sales/Customer Account Management experience in automotive industry (ideally in bus, coach or truck) with extensive B2B network and very good connections to PTAs and PTOs.
  • Proven sales/commercial track record.
  • Good understanding of electric vehicles and/or buses required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to converse confidently with client personnel at all levels.
  • Good command of English is essential, both written and verbal.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive and result-oriented.
  • Organised and structured.
  • Ability to deliver a high quality of customer service.
  • Good team player and resourceful.
  • Able to travel within the UK on a frequent basis, some international travel may be required occasionally.
  • Experience with CRM.
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including MS Office.
  • Has right-to-work in the UK.
