Excellent Sales Account Manager Opportunity!
This role is to be focused on current business sales within the Heavy Engineering Sector, more specifically within lifting equipment and cranes. This is a brand-new position within the business. The Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing the current portfolio of business within the client’s database, coupled with generating their own prospective new business.
A full driving licence is essential for this role. This business is located within the Teesside area.
What is in it for you?
- Base Salary package of Circa £45k base per annum
- Bonus structure applicable, On Target bonus earnings equate to £5,000 quarterly with a further annual bonus of £10,000. Overall bonus potential of Circa £30,000.
- OTE Overall package - £75,000

The business
Our client is a market leading Industrial business with multiple arms to their business. Specialising within Lifting Operations, Industrial PPE & also Training packages, our client is able to offer a plethora of progression opportunities. This business prides themselves on their staff development initiatives, a clear progression plan will be put in place to enable you to develop in the best way you can.
The role
- Account Management & Customer Development – Acting as key commercial contact for customers. Building and developing relationships with all key accounts.
- Service Contract & Repair Conversion – Taking ownership of identifying and developing opportunities to convert customers to ongoing service and maintenance contracts.
- New business development – Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Cranes and Lifting market. Developing your own pipeline of prospective customers.
- Commercial & sales management – Preparing quotations and proposals, negotiating the commercial terms for contracts.
- Customer retention and growth – Taking a proactive approach to retention and upselling.
- Market and business development – Maintaining a strong understanding of the heavy engineering market.

The person + essential skills & experience:
- Proven experience within heavy engineering sales, ideally within cranes or lifting equipment.
- Proven commercial experience of growing accounts through relationship building
- Experience within proposals and quotations
- Full driving licence is essential
- Experience using sales CRMs and sales management software’s
