Sales Account Manager – MA Exhibitions
Hybrid: Herne Hill, 3 days in the office
Salary: Up to £40,000 + circa £20,000 OTE and company benefits.
Contract: Permanent, full-time

As Sales Account Manager, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth, improving customer retention and growing year on year spend across your portfolio of exhibition clients.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will manage a portfolio of existing customers, developing long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to increase spend through upselling and cross-selling. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and supporting the successful delivery of your exhibitions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets across your portfolio of existing customers.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, building strong, long-term relationships and understanding their needs to improve satisfaction, loyalty and retention.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts, using upselling and cross-selling strategies to continually increase customer spend.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, responding to enquiries, resolving issues and providing timely updates throughout the customer journey.
- Maintain the sales ledger, pipeline and weekly sales reports, providing regular reports, forecasts and performance analysis to management.
- Use CRM tools and sales analytics to monitor performance, forecast sales and make informed commercial decisions.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activity, using this insight to inform sales strategy and provide valuable information to clients.
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, operations and finance, to ensure client satisfaction and the successful delivery of your exhibition.
- Contribute to event debriefs and strategic planning, using customer feedback, market insight and performance data to identify opportunities to continuously improve the exhibition.

Must-haves:
- Proven experience as an Account Manager or in a related sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Good working knowledge of the commercial side of the exhibition industry, with experience working closely with exhibition teams, including marketing, operations and finance.
- Strong relationship-building and people skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and build long-term client relationships.
- Good analytical skills, with the ability to understand customer needs, analyse market trends and use sales data to inform decisions.
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage a portfolio of accounts, maintain accurate records and keep sales pipelines and forecasts up to date.
- A proactive, initiative-taking approach, with a clear focus on delivering results and improving customer satisfaction.

Nice-to-haves:
- Further experience within the exhibition industry and an understanding of the wider exhibition sales cycle.
- Experience identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing customer accounts.
- Experience contributing to event debriefs, strategic planning and initiatives to improve an exhibition or customer experience.
