Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Account Manager will take full ownership of the UK South West territory, driving new business development and growing existing customer relationships across the consumer-packaged goods, pharmaceutical, medical device, and industrial goods industries.

This is a field-based, commercially driven role, operating remotely from a home base while requiring regular travel across the assigned territory. You’ll manage the full sales cycle—from proactive prospecting and pipeline generation through customer engagement, onsite demonstrations, negotiation, and deal closure—while delivering against defined revenue and margin targets. The ideal candidate will be based within or around the UK South West, with preferred locations including Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Gloucester, the wider M4/M5 corridor, Plymouth, Torquay, Portsmouth, Worcester, Hereford, Exeter, and Taunton. Candidates based in Dorset or in a location central to the territory will also be considered.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Develop and secure new equipment revenue across the UK South West territory.
  • Build and grow long-term relationships with existing customers while proactively identifying new business opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline generation through to negotiation and deal closure.
  • Conduct onsite equipment demonstrations and represent Videojet at regional trade shows and customer events.
  • Promote service, finance, and maintenance agreements to strengthen customer value and revenue growth.
  • Manage all sales activity through Salesforce CRM, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Plan and prioritise territory activity to maximise customer engagement, sales opportunities, and travel efficiency.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales and new business development within manufacturing, OEM, or industrial automation environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to deal closure.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, with Salesforce preferred, and Microsoft Excel/Word.
  • Fluent in English and legally eligible to work in the UK.
