Inside Sales Account Manager
Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk - £35,000 - £37,000 + Performance Bonus - Full Time | Office Based

We're looking for an ambitious Inside Sales Account Manager to join a growing and well-established international business operating within the water, construction, industrial and agricultural sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking to customers, following up opportunities, building long-term relationships and turning enquiries into orders. You'll manage existing accounts while proactively identifying new sales opportunities, helping customers find the right solutions and driving revenue growth.
Whether you're currently working in Internal Sales, Telesales, Customer Service with a sales focus, Sales Administration or Account Management, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
The Role
As an Inside Sales Account Manager, you'll be responsible for developing customer relationships, generating sales opportunities and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and developing relationships with existing B2B customers.
- Handling inbound customer enquiries by phone and email.
- Taking, processing and managing customer orders accurately.
- Preparing and following up quotations to maximise conversion rates.
- Proactively contacting customers to generate repeat business.
- Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Reactivating dormant accounts and nurturing new opportunities.
- Building a strong understanding of customer requirements and recommending suitable solutions.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and sales activity within CRM systems.
- Liaising with purchasing, warehouse, logistics and accounts teams to ensure excellent customer service.

What We're Looking For

You'll Be Successful If You:
- Enjoy speaking to customers and building rapport.
- Are confident making outbound calls and following up opportunities.
- Have a proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Are commercially aware and target driven.
- Can manage multiple customer enquiries and priorities effectively.
- Have strong organisational and communication skills.
- Possess excellent attention to detail.
- Are comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
Previous experience selling technical products would be beneficial but is not essential, as full product and industry training will be provided.
