Hutton & Co (Ships Chandlers) Ltd is a leading marine supplies and services provider supporting the shipping industry and the offshore oil, gas, and renewables sectors across the UK’s major ports. The company offers a broad range of ship supply solutions, including provisions, bonded stores, ship spares, deck and engine consumables, and cleaning and galley equipment. Hutton & Co also supplies mooring ropes, surface preparations and coatings, valves and fluid control, pipe work systems, and pneumatic tools and equipment. In addition, the business supports customers with engineering maintenance products, turnkey projects, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, lifeboat repairs and spares, Unitor chemicals, and logistics services.
Role Description
The Sales Admin role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Aberdeen Area. This role is responsible for supporting the sales team with day-to-day administrative tasks, including:

The Sales Admin will handle customer enquiries, coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products and services, and assist with invoicing and basic finance-related tasks. The role also includes tracking sales activities, generating reports, and helping to streamline workflows and communication within the sales function.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to handle enquiries and build positive relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Solid Administrative Assistance skills, including data entry, document management, and coordination of day-to-day office tasks.
- Good Analytical Skills to manage order details, monitor sales activity, and support accurate reporting.
- Basic Finance skills to assist with invoicing, payment tracking, and sales-related financial documentation.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office, CRM systems) and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Previous experience in sales administration, logistics, or a marine or industrial supply environment is beneficial.
- Relevant vocational training or a qualification in business administration, commerce, or a related field is an advantage.
