Paying £28k + 25 days holiday and free parking - Rochdale

A highly successful and very well-established textiles group with sites across the Northwest are looking to appoint an experienced Sales Administrator to join their friendly and supportive sales team in Rochdale.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading organisation that prides itself on quality, innovation and exceptional customer service. You'll play a key role in supporting customers, internal teams and external sales representatives, helping to ensure a seamless customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.

This is a fully office-based position, working 8:45am - 5:15pm Monday to Friday, with the added benefit of a 4pm finish every other Friday.

The Job

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Administrator will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, processing orders efficiently, and providing valuable support to the external sales team. This is a varied role that offers plenty of opportunity to build strong customer relationships and contribute to the continued success of the business.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Delivering a professional and efficient customer service experience via telephone and email
  • Processing customer orders accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Preparing and distributing weekly reports to Area Sales Managers
  • Keeping customers informed of order progress, back orders and delivery updates
  • Developing a thorough understanding of company products, systems and processes
  • Assisting with the maintenance and monitoring of the CRM system
  • Identifying opportunities to support sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Keeping up to date with new products, promotions and company initiatives
  • Providing administrative and commercial support to the External Sales Team
  • Liaising with internal departments, suppliers and transport providers to ensure smooth order fulfilment
  • Supporting the wider team with general office administration duties as required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Sales Administrator or similar Customer Service Administrator office-based role
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with good Excel knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional and positive approach with a strong customer-service focus
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Comfortable managing a varied workload and prioritising effectively
  • Team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues across different departments
