The Inside Sales Role

The Inside Sales role provides dedicated support to Design Consultants, enabling them to focus on client engagement and winning new business. You will manage the detail, accuracy, and coordination of quotes, proposals, and follow-up to keep opportunities moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Creation: Work alongside Design Consultants to identify, log, and track new sales opportunities.
  • Quote Preparation: Produce accurate quotes for jobs, box orders, and evaluations, ensuring all required details are included.
  • Take-Offs: Review drawings to extract equipment lists and quantities for proposals.
  • Vendor Liaison: Request custom quotes and special pricing from vendors to ensure competitive offers.
  • Proposal Export: Prepare and format basic or complex proposals for client delivery.
  • Customer Communication: Keep clients informed during the quoting process and respond to queries promptly.
  • Specification Management: Gather and attach relevant spec sheets and manuals where required.
  • Lead Time Tracking: Monitor product availability and adjust proposals to reflect accurate delivery timelines.
  • Address Verification: Confirm shipping and billing addresses for every proposal to prevent errors.
  • Delivery Requirements: Check for lift gate needs and confirm delivery contact details for box orders.
  • Job Booking: Verify NTP (PO, signed quote, contract), request SLED, save required documents to YODA, and pass jobs to the BC team.
  • CRM Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date customer and account information in D365, including adding new accounts, updating contacts, and merging duplicates.
