Cathedral Appointments is recruiting on behalf of a busy, friendly business in Exeter for a Sales Administrator to join their Sales Admin team. Our client is keen to fill this role urgently, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
The Role
Working closely with the Sales Admin Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the department, from processing orders and invoicing through to keeping the Field Sales Team up to date and delivering first-class customer service. This is a fast-paced role, well suited to someone who thrives under pressure, has excellent attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a busy, supportive team.
Responsibilities for the Sales Administrator
- Provide first-class service to customers over the phone and via email
- Provide accurate information to keep the Field Sales Team up to date
- Deal with customer enquiries regarding orders and general queries, via email and telephone
- Communicate with couriers regarding deliveries and collections
- Input and process orders and credits in a timely manner, including daily invoicing
- Open new accounts on the in-house system and report on order progress for weekly manager meetings
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure the sales process and installations run smoothly

Requirements for the Sales Administrator
- Computer literate, with a strong knowledge of Excel and Outlook
- Excellent telephone manner and strong customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills
- Strong and confident written and verbal communication skills across departments and with customers
- Ability to work as part of a team while managing your own workload
- A flexible, upbeat approach, comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime as required

- Salary of £25,000 - £26,000
- 21 days holiday (FTE), increasing to 25 days depending on length of service, plus a holiday buyback scheme
