Ready to take your sales administration experience to the next level? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful and growing business as a Sales Administrator, supporting a busy commercial operation from its Slough office.

This is far more than a traditional administration role. You’ll be at the heart of the order journey, taking ownership from initial order through to fulfilment, shipment and invoicing, while working closely with customers, suppliers, sales, logistics and finance.

If you’re commercially minded, highly organised and enjoy being the person who keeps everything moving, this could be a great next step.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed smoothly, accurately and on time. You’ll work across multiple teams and stakeholders, keeping customers informed and making sure every detail is taken care of.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing customer orders end-to-end, from receipt through to fulfilment, shipment and invoicing.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates on order status, deliveries and any potential issues.
  • Working closely with Sales, Logistics, Finance, suppliers and freight partners to keep orders moving.
  • Processing invoices, tracking payments, allocating costs and supporting accurate margin management.
  • Monitoring credit limits and agreed customer terms to ensure orders remain compliant.
  • Investigating and resolving order or delivery queries quickly and professionally.
  • Supporting the wider Sales Administration team with projects and ad hoc requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
