Sales Advisor – New Development
Location: Perth
Salary: £29,430
OTE: £45,000–£50,000
Working Pattern: Thursday to Monday, 10:00am–5:30pm
Contract: Permanent
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading five-star national housebuilder as a Sales Advisor for a major new development launching in Perth in January.
This dual-branded development offers excellent longevity, with the potential for additional land to be acquired in the future. The successful candidate will initially work alongside an experienced Sales Advisor to complete their training and become familiar with the company’s systems and processes before independently managing the new development.
Previous New Homes Sales experience would be advantageous; however, applications are also welcomed from ambitious trainee candidates with strong customer-facing sales experience gained within sectors such as automotive sales, estate agency, retail, hospitality, or banking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the customer journey from initial enquiry through to reservation, sales progression, and completion.
- Build rapport with customers to understand their requirements, buying position, and timescales.
- Conduct professional development, show home, and property viewings.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of the local area, including amenities, schools, transport links, and competing developments.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of available homes, specifications, prices, schemes, and incentives.
- Follow up enquiries proactively and convert leads into site visits and reservations.
- Use effective questioning, listening, negotiation, and closing techniques.
- Work towards agreed development sales targets and wider business objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with purchasers throughout the buying process.
- Ensure customer records and sales activity are accurately maintained within Microsoft Dynamics.
- Promote available options and extras to maximize revenue and enhance the customer’s chosen home.
- Maintain excellent presentation standards across the sales office, show homes, and development.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience in line with the standards of a five-star housebuilder.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
