The role reports directly to the Store Manager & Assistant Store Manager.
Responsibilities
1 - Store Opening & Closing
- Open and close register/POS systems
- Adhere to the daily roadmap (floor zoning, scheduling, and management-defined goals)
- Comply with the dress code defined by management
- Turn on and ensure the proper functioning of store equipment (music, lighting, video projector, fragrance diffuser, etc.)
- Maintain boutique cleanliness (both inside and outside)
2 - Sales & Customer Relations
- Proactively engage with customers to reach targets set by management
- Welcome and assist customers on the sales floor and fitting rooms: brand storytelling, fashion advice, styling/silhouetting (size, color, fit, collections, etc.), cross-selling, and upselling
- Acquire new customers and foster customer loyalty
- Adhere to the customer journey defined by management
- Master and execute POS operations: processing payments, refunds, and item exchanges
- Master and promote in-store services (kiosks, repair services, alterations, hot stamping, leather care, click & collect, etc.)
- Stay informed on Balzac updates and maintain an omni-channel vision (web & retail integration)
- Prepare daily food & beverage offerings for customers

3 - Store Maintenance & Operations
- Ensure the sales floor is constantly replenished (floor stock, visual merchandising, and try-on items)
- Maintain cleanliness across the sales floor, stockroom, and staff areas
- Follow merchandising guidelines and point-of-sale materials (POSM) established by management
- Participate in and prepare for the setup of new collection launches
- Comply with operational processes (distinction between web/retail returns, floor stock management, stock items for try-ons, shopfloor organization & visual merchandising, etc.)
- Contribute to and draft weekly performance reports

4 - Stock & Inventory Management
- Maintain and respect stockroom layout rules defined by the Stock Manager
- Ensure proper garment presentation (steaming, hanging, and folding)
- Participate in cycle counts and annual inventory audits as needed
- Receive shipments as needed
Hard Skills

- Proficiency in Shopify
- Ability to receive and process shipments
- Strong command of retail sales techniques
