Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sales Advisor role based at the Bradfords branch in Liskeard. The Sales Advisor will support customers in person, by phone, and via email, providing product advice, processing orders, and ensuring an efficient, positive experience at the branch.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:


Get help with your application

- Serving at the trade counter
- Generating sales
- Preparing quotes
- Proactively identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell building materials and related products
- Maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with stock checks
- Keeping the sales area well-presented
- Working closely with colleagues to meet branch targets
The Sales Advisor will contribute to training and sharing product knowledge with team members, while consistently promoting Bradfords’ commitment to customer service and sustainable building solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers and colleagues.
- Clear, professional communication skills, both verbal and written, suitable for customer-facing and internal interactions.
- Proven customer service experience, ideally in a trade, retail, or building materials environment.
- Sales skills, including identifying customer needs, offering suitable products, and supporting branch sales targets.
- Ability to participate in and benefit from training, including product knowledge, systems, and health and safety procedures.
- Basic numeracy and IT skills for handling quotations, orders, and stock information.
- Knowledge of building materials or construction trades is an advantage, but not essential.
- Previous experience in a merchant, hardware store, or similar customer-facing role is beneficial.
