Private Hire Sales Advisor

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused individual to join our Private Hire team as a Sales Advisor. This is a varied and dynamic role that will support the continued growth of our Private hire department.

As Private Hire Sales Advisor you will be responsible for producing and converting coach hire quotations to achieve monthly and annual sales targets, while delivering a first-class customer experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to build lasting relationships with our customers.

Who are we?

We are the largest coach operator in Leicestershire, and we have spent our last 30 years of business building an unrivaled experience and a friendly and trustworthy reputation. We have an extensive fleet of executive vehicles which helps us to service our programme of over 500 coach holidays, day trips and short breaks across the UK and Europe. We also operate a wide range of Private Hire jobs for a variety of occasions and provide school transport to thousands of pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather all relevant journey information from customers in response to enquiries, including dates, times, passenger numbers, destinations, special requests, and budget considerations
  • Provide clear and accurate information about coach hire options, including vehicle types, onboard facilities, pricing, and terms of service
  • Prepare and send professional quotations specifically tailored to match customer requirements
  • Efficient management of the quotation pipeline by utilising team CRM systems, working to team KPI’s for quotation follow up and conversion rates
  • Work closely with our Operations Team to alert of any additional considerations prior to the customer’s travel date to ensure smooth customer experience
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the fleet, operational schedule, and specific legislation relating to coach travel
  • Tap into our network of tour operators to generate sales of UK and European private hire tours, maximising opportunities within the touring season
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen by understanding pricing structures, monitoring competitors, and identifying peak periods for hire demand
  • Generate new business by re engaging lapsed customers and reaching out to prospective clients within our target geographical areas via telephone, email and face-to-face networking.
  • Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets, ensuring a positive contribution to the team budget
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism in all interactions, representing the brand positively to build long-term customer relationships
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve processes, enhance the customer journey, and build on revenue generation
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and exhibitions as part of the team to actively promote Roberts Travel Group
  • Represent the business in a professional manner to generate new leads and enquiries
  • Consistently deliver first-class customer service at every stage of the sales process
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for customers, building trust and encouraging repeat business

Skills and Experience:

  • A track record of lead and sales generation; 2 years' sales experience, preferably within the transportation industry (but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to articulate information clearly and concisely
  • Proven ability to build rapport with customers
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and bookings simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Experience in using Salesforce and /or Coach Manager an advantage (but not essential)
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment
  • A customer focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service with each and every Roberts travel Group customer
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays on a periodic basis for either office based, or weekend based Exhibitions and promotional events
