The Sales Advisor/Estimator will be responsible for processing customer orders and enquiries and, with full training, will progress to preparing quotations for customers. The role is designed as a development path: you will start by handling order processing, phone-based customer support and web orders, and will be trained over time to take on full quoting and estimating responsibilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers and is looking to develop specialist knowledge within a growing business. Candidates will need to have their own transport to get to work due to the rural location.
Key Responsibilities Will Include

- Identifying cross-selling opportunities within customer enquiries and quotations, proactively introducing relevant products from our client’s wider range
- Supporting the sales team with overflow call handling and order processing during busy periods
- Following up quotations that have not converted to orders, contacting customers to progress opportunities
- Maintaining accurate records of quotation activity on the company system; updating customer notes
- Sending samples and product information to customers
- Attending internal product and sales meetings to stay up to date with the range
- Building product knowledge over time to handle more technical customer enquiries and spot cross-selling opportunities with confidence
- Working closely with the sales team to support customers through the quotation and order process.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
