Role Description
This is a full-time, Technical Sales Engineer role based in Northern Ireland. The Technical Sales Engineer will work closely with customers to understand machining requirements, propose suitable precision tooling solutions, and prepare technical proposals. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing sales opportunities, conducting technical product presentations and demonstrations, and providing pre- and post-sales technical support. The role involves collaboration with internal engineering and production teams to develop bespoke tooling concepts and ensure successful project delivery. The Technical Sales Engineer will also maintain account relationships, monitor market trends, and contribute to sales planning and reporting activities.

Responsibilities:
- Developing and optimising job processes for increased efficiency.
- Sourcing technical information as needed and providing expert technical advice.
- Developing new business.
- Ensuring quality control and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Setting up and running trials on new tooling.
- Collaborating closely with our technical team to custom machine parts and show improvements for clients.
- Generating technical quotations as required, including manufacturing or machining techniques for specific jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports and grows business at existing customers
- Developing new business and opportunities
- Working remotely in Northern Ireland visiting customers
- Communicating and collaborating with our Area Sales Manager and internal teams in Lisburn
- Importance of good customer service skills

The ideal candidate for this role possesses:
- An apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing (preferred but not essential)
- 2-3 years’ experience as a CNC programmer (preferred but not essential)
- Proficiency in design software such as CAD / CAM (preferred but not essential)
- Based in Northern Ireland
- A team spirit and good communication skills dealing with both customers and colleagues.
- A valid driver’s licence
