Sales & Customer Experience Manager

Leighton Buzzard | up to £45,000 + up to 30% bonus | Full-time | Fully Office Based

Are you a commercially driven leader who loves winning business, growing customer relationships and developing high-performing teams?

We are partnering with an established and growing business in Leighton Buzzard to recruit a Sales & Customer Experience Manager to lead its customer-facing function through its next stage of growth.

This is not a traditional Customer Service Manager role. It's a hands-on commercial leadership position, with approximately 75% focused on sales, business development and revenue growth, and 25% focused on customer experience and service excellence.

You will lead and develop a customer-focused team while maintaining a significant personal sales contribution generating new business, developing existing accounts, converting opportunities and driving revenue growth.

  • Proactively generating and developing new business opportunities
  • Managing and growing a portfolio of key customer accounts
  • Building and maintaining your own sales pipeline
  • Converting enquiries and qualified opportunities into sales
  • Following up quotations to maximise conversion
  • Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Re-engaging dormant accounts and recovering lost opportunities
  • Increasing customer spend, repeat business and retention
  • Taking personal accountability for agreed sales and revenue targets
  • Coaching and developing the Customer Experience team
  • Setting and monitoring individual and team KPIs
  • Using CRM and commercial data to identify trends and growth opportunities
  • Working closely with Marketing to maximise lead generation and campaign conversion
  • Improving customer journeys, processes and ways of working
  • Championing the use of AI, automation and technology to improve productivity and customer communication
  • Working collaboratively across Operations, Finance and other internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience

About you:

We are looking for somebody who is commercially driven, proactive and comfortable leading from the front.

You will bring a strong background in sales, business development, account management or commercially focused customer service, alongside experience coaching, developing or leading others.

You will be comfortable working towards sales and revenue targets, proactively generating opportunities, managing a pipeline and using data to identify where further commercial growth can be achieved.

Most importantly, you will understand that exceptional customer experience and commercial growth go hand in hand developing relationships that retain customers while continually identifying opportunities to grow them.

In return, you will receive a up to £45,000 basic salary with the opportunity to earn up to a 30% bonus, alongside the chance to take ownership of a key function within an established and ambitious business.

This position is fully office based in Leighton Buzzard, Monday to Friday.
