Sales and Marketing Director

London (City), £90,000 to £110,000 plus bonus

An established London hospitality business is launching a workplace hospitality and events operation and is appointing a Sales and Marketing Director to its founding management team.

The business launches from a landmark City venue and is built to become an independent brand in its own right. The commercial growth of that business belongs to this appointment.

The Opportunity

  • There is no senior commercial leadership in place.
  • You would build the sales function from the ground up: the pipeline, the CRM, the tender approach, the standards, the structure, and in time the team beneath you.

The client base is corporate, centered on the City of London, served from a production kitchen south of the river. The leadership team came from the top end of London dining, with backgrounds across some of the best-known restaurant names in Mayfair, Chelsea, and the City. The brand is established. The job is to scale it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What the Role Covers

  • Winning new office catering and corporate hospitality contracts.
  • Targeting livery companies and City corporates.
  • Securing venue partnerships and leading tenders.
  • Growing and holding the existing client relationships.
  • Building the commercial systems as the business scales.

This is hands-on business development. Approaching decision makers directly, getting in front of people, doing the venue visits, and the networking. It is not a role that starts with three months of strategy documents.

What You Will Need

  • Senior sales leadership gained in contract catering, corporate catering, or event catering.
  • An active London client network you can open on day one.
  • Evidence of having built a commercial function before, not just run one.
  • Comfort in a business that is growing and changing quickly.

What is on Offer

  • £90,000 to £110,000 base, with a bonus structure agreed to the individual.
  • You report directly to the founder, alongside the Operations Director.
  • A founding team seat rather than a place in an established hierarchy, which means the commercial strategy, the systems, and the standards are yours to set.

Please apply if interested.
