As a Sales & Marketing Graduate, you'll support a variety of activities that help the team deliver successful campaigns, events and customer initiatives. • Preparing presentations, reports and customer materials.
  • Managing customer information and keeping records up to date.
  • Gathering feedback through surveys and helping share key insights.
  • Supporting campaigns, business development activities and customer-focused initiatives.
  • Working with colleagues across different teams to help deliver successful outcomes.

Throughout the programme, you'll gain exposure to customer engagement, marketing, communications, events and business development activities. You'll develop strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills while learning how National Gas Services works with customers and stakeholders across the UK.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and eager to learn. You don't need to be an expert from day one, but you should enjoy working with people, communicating ideas and helping to coordinate activities that make a positive impact.

You'll be someone who:

  • Enjoys building relationships and working with a wide range of people.
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Is well organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once.
  • Pays attention to detail and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

  • Is curious, positive and keen to develop new skills.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

A standout candidate will be someone who combines creativity with organisation. They'll enjoy coordinating activities, creating engaging content and finding practical solutions to challenges. They'll be proactive, adaptable and excited about gaining experience across sales, marketing and customer engagement.

We celebrate the different experiences our colleagues bring to our organisation and strongly encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

What you'll need

You'll hold or be on track to achieve a degree in a relevant subject. Suitable degree disciplines include:

  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Business Management

  • Or another closely related subject.

We're interested in your potential and transferable skills as much as your academic background. A strong application might include examples of:

  • Organising events, projects or group activities.
  • Working collaboratively to achieve a shared goal.
  • Building relationships with different people.
  • Managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Using Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience using Canva or similar design tools, creating content for digital channels or supporting events would be beneficial, but it isn't essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm to learn, your communication skills and your interest in building a career in sales, marketing and customer engagement.

A good application will include a cover letter to help us understand why you're a great fit for the role. Be sure to include any other relevant experience or university modules.

Studies suggest that women tend to apply only if they meet 100% of the criteria. If you resonate with our mission, the role excites you and your skills align, we encourage you to apply.

Following a successful online application, you'll be invited to complete an online assessment. Candidates who progress to the next stage will then be invited to a virtual solo interview.
