Sales & Marketing Student Placement — Unpaid Course Placement

We are offering a structured Sales & Marketing Student Placement for students who want practical exposure to digital marketing, business development, SaaS sales, partnerships, e-commerce, and customer acquisition.
This opportunity is designed for students who are required to complete a work placement as part of a UK-based further or higher education course.

Placement Activities
Under supervision from the COVA Apps team, students may participate in educational and practical activities such as:
- Researching target markets, competitors, industries, and customer segments
- Learning how companies identify potential customers and business opportunities
- Conducting supervised prospect research
- Learning how lead-generation strategies are developed
- Preparing sample prospect lists for training and market-research purposes
- Drafting professional outreach emails and LinkedIn messages for review
- Learning how sales conversations and discovery processes work
- Observing or participating in supervised business-development activities
- Learning how partnerships and affiliate relationships are developed
- Supporting marketing campaign planning
- Preparing content and promotional ideas
- Drafting social media and marketing content
- Learning how SaaS products are positioned and presented to potential customers
- Reviewing marketing and sales metrics
- Learning how CRM systems and sales pipelines are organised
- Participating in team brainstorming and strategy sessions
- Completing a final sales or marketing project related to the student's learning objectives

Training & Mentorship
Students will receive:
- Structured onboarding
- Defined learning objectives
- Guidance from the COVA Apps team
- Regular feedback and mentoring
- Practical exposure to sales and marketing
- Training in professional business communication
- Exposure to Shopify, SaaS, e-commerce, and technology
- Experience with remote collaboration
- Understanding of basic sales and marketing workflows
- A final placement review
Where required, COVA Apps can work with the student's university or college regarding placement documentation, learning objectives, progress reviews, and completion confirmation.
Must-Have Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in a UK-based further or higher education course
- Require a work placement or internship as part of that course
- Be able to provide confirmation from their university or college that the placement forms part of their course
- Be located in the United Kingdom
- Be able to participate remotely
- Have reliable access to a computer and internet connection
- Be available for approximately 8–12 hours per week, subject to course requirements
- Be comfortable communicating professionally in written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications
We would particularly welcome applicants who:
- Study marketing, business, sales, communications, e-commerce, entrepreneurship, or a related subject
- Have an interest in sales, digital marketing, Shopify, SaaS, startups, or technology
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Are comfortable conducting online research
- Have an interest in business development and customer acquisition
- Have good organisational and time-management skills
- Are interested in social media, content, partnerships, or affiliate marketing
- Are confident communicating with different types of people
- Are willing to learn, receive feedback, and improve their skills

Important Placement Information
This is an unpaid student work placement intended for students completing a required placement as part of a UK-based further or higher education course.
Applicants may be asked to provide confirmation from their educational institution that the placement is a required component of their course.
The purpose of the placement is to provide structured learning, practical training, mentorship, and professional development.
Students will not be responsible for independently operating COVA Apps' sales function, meeting revenue quotas, replacing paid employees, or independently managing business-critical sales activities.
The placement is temporary and does not include any guarantee or promise of employment with COVA Apps after completion.
Students who are not completing a qualifying course-required placement should not apply for this particular opportunity.
