About the Role
We're looking for an experienced, self-directed Sales and Marketing Manager to drive our growth, with additional ownership of invoicing and day-to-day operations. You'll be the face of the company at industry expos, work closely with the founder and our high-profile partners, and have real autonomy over how you deliver results.
What you'll do
Sales
- Build and run the sales pipeline in HubSpot: prospecting, outreach, demos, closing
- Lead deals with government organizations and large enterprises through to signature
- Represent the company at expos and industry events, generating and following up leads
Marketing
- Plan, create and manage marketing campaigns across [email, social, content, paid]
- Manage our social channels: content calendar, posting, engagement and reporting
- Design and produce marketing materials for expos, and manage vendors (printers, booth builders, merchandise) to deliver on time and on budget
- Work with our high-profile partners whose profiles are featured in our marketing materials, making sure every piece meets their expectations before it's published
- Track metrics and report on pipeline and campaign results
- Own SEO for aiaci.org: keyword strategy, on-page optimization, content planning and performance tracking to grow organic enrollment traffic

Operations & Invoicing
- Issue invoices, track and reconcile incoming payments in Xero and Stripe, and follow up on overdue accounts
- Prepare vendor invoices and expense records for approval and keep them tidy for the accountant
- Handle day-to-day operations: tools and subscriptions, supplier coordination, light admin
What you bring
- 5+ years in sales and/or marketing
- Proven experience closing deals with government organizations and large enterprises
- Hands-on experience creating and managing marketing campaigns and managing social media accounts for a business
- Experience producing expo and event materials and managing vendors to deliver them
- Experience working with senior partners or stakeholders who have high standards for what goes out under their name
- Working knowledge of Xero, Stripe and HubSpot (preferred)
- Warm, polished and personable; genuinely enjoys meeting people face-to-face and represents the company well in a room
- Self-directed and outcome-focused; you manage your own workload and deliver
- Flexibility to occasionally shift your hours to work with people in other time zones
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for expos and client meetings

Engagement details
- Contractor, full-time (Approx. 40 hrs/week)
- Initial 12-month term with the option to extend
- Compensation: Above-market base + commission on closed deals
- Remote within the UK with regular travel to expos
