EDINBURGH
A GBP 38,000 - A GBP 40,000 + benefits
I am working with a brilliant, established hospitality business to find a Sales and Marketing Manager for one of their high-profile Edinburgh venues.
This is a great role for someone who knows the Edinburgh market, loves hospitality and is as comfortable building relationships and getting out into the city as they are managing incoming enquiries and converting business.
The role is a real 50/50 split between proactive and reactive sales. You will be responsible for driving group bookings, events, corporate business, leisure and travel trade, while also making sure every opportunity coming into the venue is maximised.
You will have the support of a Sales and Marketing Coordinator and work closely with the venue leadership team as well as the wider regional sales function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
