Key Responsibilities
Occupancy & Business Growth
- Develop and deliver strategies to increase occupancy across all homes.
- Drive enquiry generation, conversion, and admissions performance.
- Monitor occupancy trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Support Home Managers to achieve and exceed occupancy targets.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity.

- Develop and implement a company-wide sales and marketing strategy.
- Lead brand positioning and awareness initiatives.
- Deliver targeted campaigns that generate measurable results.
- Use market intelligence and performance data to support decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities, NHS partners, ICBs, social workers, commissioners, hospital discharge teams, and community organisations.
- Represent Kara Healthcare at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships that support business growth.
Digital Marketing & Brand Development
- Oversee website performance, SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and lead generation campaigns.
- Utilise CRM and reporting tools to track performance and forecast occupancy.
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels.
- Promote positive resident, family, and colleague stories to enhance reputation.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with operational and senior leadership teams.
- Coach and support Home Managers on sales and marketing activity.
- Provide regular performance updates and growth recommendations to the Executive Team.
About You
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' senior sales, marketing, or business development experience within care, healthcare, or adult social care.
- Proven experience increasing occupancy and driving commercial growth.
- Strong understanding of adult social care, commissioning, and funding pathways.
- Experience working with Local Authorities, NHS referral networks, and key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, networking, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded, data-driven, and results focused.

Desirable
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- CIM qualification or equivalent.
- Established network within adult social care, NHS, or commissioning environments.
- Experience supporting new care home openings or acquisitions.
