About The Role
At Simplyhealth, we're on a mission to improve access to healthcare for everyone in the UK. As a Telesales & Retention Executive, you'll play a key role in helping customers understand the value of their health plan and supporting them to make informed decisions about their healthcare cover.
Working in a fast-paced and target-driven environment, you'll speak with both existing and prospective customers, handling inbound and outbound calls with confidence and professionalism. A significant part of the role involves engaging with customers who have requested to cancel their health plan, helping them recognise the benefits available to them and supporting retention wherever possible.
You'll use your natural communication skills to build rapport, understand customer needs and demonstrate how our health plans can help improve access to healthcare. As part of an FCA-regulated business, you'll deliver non-advised sales, ensuring customers are provided with clear information that enables them to make their own informed choices.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Achieving and, where possible, exceeding individual sales and retention targets.
- Managing inbound and outbound customer conversations to maximise sales and retention opportunities.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales journey.
- Effectively managing your workload to meet performance, productivity and response-time expectations.
- Using initiative and sound judgement to overcome objections and find positive outcomes for customers and the business.
- Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and ensuring compliance within an FCA-regulated environment.
- Completing administrative activities accurately and in line with agreed processes.
- Contributing to team success and supporting wider business objectives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
