On Yer Bike Cycles Ltd is a trusted bike retailer with over 30 years of experience and stores in Burnley, Blackburn and Lancaster. We pride ourselves on quality products, expert advice and a friendly, customer focused approach.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Full Time Sales Assistant to join the team at our Lancaster store. You will be responsible for helping customers find the right bikes, equipment and accessories, processing sales and using our EPOS systems for a wide range of day to day tasks including sales, stock management, customer orders and product information.
Our Lancaster store caters for a wide range of cyclists, with a particular focus on road, gravel, mountain and electric bikes. An existing interest in cycling and a willingness to develop strong product knowledge would be a big advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and drive sales through honest, knowledgeable recommendations.
- Help customers choose bikes, clothing, parts and accessories to suit their needs.
- Confidently use our EPOS systems for sales, customer orders, stock management and other day to day processes.
- Respond to customer enquiries in store and over the phone.
- Maintain tidy, eye catching product displays and manage stock levels.
- Assist with basic bike setup and preparation where required.
- Work closely with the wider team to meet sales targets and maintain a clean, safe and welcoming store.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine interest in cycling, bikes or outdoor activities.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage, but not essential.
- Experience using EPOS, till or stock management systems would be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems.
- Confidence speaking to customers and a willingness to develop detailed product knowledge.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
- Good organisational and multitasking skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends as part of the normal rota.
- Experience or knowledge of road, gravel, mountain or electric bikes would be particularly useful, although full product training will be provided.
