Role Description
The Sales Assistant role is a part-time or Full Time, on-site position based in Banbury. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Greeting customers
- Understanding their needs
- Providing informed guidance on vintage watches and jewellery
- Managing sales transactions
- Handling cash and card payments
- Issuing receipts accurately
- Assisting with displaying and maintaining merchandise
- Ensuring products are presented attractively and securely
- Answering queries in person or by phone
- Keeping the sales area tidy
- Monitoring stock levels
- Supporting basic administrative duties as needed

Requirements:
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to build rapport and provide a welcoming, professional experience for every visitor.
- Clear and confident Communication skills to explain product features, care instructions, and purchase options in an accessible manner.
- Ability to work well and efficiently in a small, friendly team.
- Sales skills, including a consultative approach and an understanding of retail selling techniques, to support store revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Solid Organization Skills to manage multiple customer requests, maintain orderly displays, and handle transactions accurately.
- Basic numeracy and comfort with point-of-sale systems; prior retail or luxury goods experience is beneficial.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and integrity, especially when handling high-value items and payment information.
- Interest in watches, jewelry, or vintage items and willingness to learn about product history and care.
