About Jarrolds
Being part of Jarrolds is more than a little bit different to working at any other department store. For a start, we are wholly independent meaning all the decisions about the store are all made right here in Norfolk. And we truly live by our values, when you work here it genuinely feels like being part of one big family. Whatever the day brings we are in it together, showing support and care for each other.
Our Sales Teams
Our Sales Teams are the first point of contact with our customers and therefore ambassadors for the Jarrolds brand. When you work in our stores you won’t just become an expert at selling products, you’ll also be a brilliant host, welcoming our guests and helping them find whatever they need. We strive to make everyone who visits us feels special and create unique and memorable experiences. This is why our customers love shopping with us.
About Our Store
Across our store, we have a passion for nice things! From our engaging toy department at the top of the store to the delicious and scrumptious foodhall at the bottom with so much more in between. We are looking for above and beyond sales assistants who are looking to share in the excitement of our busy lead up to Christmas, to be a part of our amazing team and to offer an unrivaled experience for our customers, old and new.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
