A brand built on friendship and rooted in craft

Cutler and Gross was established by opticians Mr Cutler and Mr Gross in 1969. They had a vision: to pioneer a new standard of eyewear. Each frame was made by hand in the workshop above the Knightsbridge store in London.

Over 55 years on and this philosophy of craftsmanship remains unchanged. Taking place in Italy and Japan, the frames are handcrafted by a team of artisans who have spent decades honing their skills.

Today, the proudly independent eyewear brand has 5 flagship store locations in London, Bath, New York and Toronto and has over 2000 Stockists in 50 countries around the world, and online at www.cutlerandgross.com

The role:

  • Be the face of our brand:
    • Greet and serve all customers providing a friendly service and delivering a full and memorable experience.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to every customer, every time. Whether by email, over the phone or in person in the store.
  • Master our collections:
    • Ensure familiarity with the product range past and present to provide customers with as much detail as possible.
    • Provide reliable information and advice to customers in all matters relating to sales and customer service.
    • Check lenses on delivery to ensure that they meet the required specification.
    • Record the results of each client, dispense on the system and initiate lens and frame orders electronically to the supplier.
    • Arrange client appointments using the client management system tools and web booking portal.
    • Maintain correct processing of all stock deliveries to store, booking into system and processing store exchanges.
    • Additional administrative tasks as required.
  • Drive sales with passion:
    • Pro-actively support the running of the store to operate to its full potential and contribute to the store reaching its monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Dealing with and handling of cash, credit cards and international currency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
