M.J. Bale
M.J. Bale is Australia’s foremost gentlemen’s clothier, manufacturing garments of integrity for men of character. We have been built on the pillars of authenticity, integrity, provenance and character and embed this into everything we do from our people through to the products we create, that our customers love.
Job Description
About M.J. Bale
M.J. Bale is opening its first UK store on Jermyn Street, and we’re looking for enthusiastic Sales Associates to help introduce the brand to London.
Founded in Australia in 2009, M.J. Bale creates garments of integrity built on genuine provenance—from Tasmanian wool growers and Italian weavers to Japanese tailors.
Since 2015, we have worked with Kingston, a carbon-positive farm in Tasmania, to create single-source suiting, returning a share of every sale to support the land’s biodiversity. In 2024, M.J. Bale became a certified B Corp. This commitment has helped make us the Official Tailor to the Australian Test cricket team, the Wallabies and the Socceroos, and it underpins more than 80 stores across Australia.
Our Jermyn Street opening marks M.J. Bale’s first move beyond Australia and the first opportunity to bring our approach to tailoring, service and sustainability to London.
About The Role
As a Sales Associate, you’ll be part of the founding Jermyn Street team and play an important role in shaping our customers’ first experience of M.J. Bale in the UK.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
